We are seeking a Receptionist in our Penner Farm Services Blumenort location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing reception and switchboard services for the office and retail store
  • Communicating with customers, vendors, visitors and co-workers

Duties also include a range of administration functions such as preparing bank deposits, receipting cheques, sorting incoming and preparing outgoing mail, purchasing office supplies, as well as additional office duties such as filing and copying documents.

Education: Office and/or administration education.

Special training: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs as well as related switchboard knowledge.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar position would be an asset.

We are seeking a Human Resource Manager who is responsible for the ongoing planning, systems and provision of qualified employees to meet the Company’s’ strategic objectives and business requirements.

Reporting to the CFO, the Human Resource Manager will assess current and future human resource needs, establish essential policies & procedures for staff management, plan and implement systematic processes to attract, develop and retain the required employees (e.g. through compensation/benefits plans, effective staffing, orientation, training, performance management, communication, employee relations processes and systems, as well as, other related activities) to support Company success.

Specific duties:

  • Assist management in the recruitment and selection processes for a wide range of positions; design job classifications, draft offer letters, reference checking
  • Evaluate and improve the company’s on-boarding and orientation program to enhance employee training and retention
  • Maintain employee relations with both staff and management - mediate on issues, interpret policies and legislation, assist in performance management
  • Assist with executing the performance measurement process to evaluate employee objective setting and personal growth; succession planning
  • Develop and implement a training matrix to track employee professional development and mandatory training
  • Oversee payroll for hourly and salary employees including; health insurance and DPSP

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of human resource experience
  • Post-secondary education in human resource management
  • CPHR considered an asset
  • Proven ability to provide strategic human resource related ideas (retention, employee relations, performance management)
  • Committed, enthusiastic, priority focused
